As part of ALH’s portfolio, this property will set new standards for inclusion, accessibility, and guest-centered service in the hospitality industry.  </p><p>The General Manager will oversee all aspects of hotel pre‑opening planning, staff recruitment and development, operational strategy, and guest experience design. This leader will be responsible for building a culture rooted in inclusivity, comfort, and innovation—ensuring the hotel fulfills its mission of delivering exceptional stays for every guest, without barriers.  </p><p>Key focus areas include operational readiness, inclusive design best practices, financial performance, community engagement, and the cultivation of a service culture that aligns with the values and legacy of Morgan’s Wonderland. The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands‑on operator with a passion for inclusive hospitality, experience leading diverse teams, and a demonstrated ability to launch and scale successful hotel operations.  </p><p>This is a rare opportunity to shape an industry‑leading property, influence inclusive design standards, and bring to life a hospitality experience that is truly for everyone.  </p><p><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b> include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  </p><p><b>Operational Oversight</b>  </p><ul><li>Manage daily hotel operations across departments (front desk, housekeeping, food &amp; beverage, maintenance).</li><li>Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining high service standards and resolving complaints promptly.</li><li>Monitor facility upkeep to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with regulations.</li><li>Analyze financial reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.</li><li>Set performance goals and conduct evaluations to ensure accountability.</li><li>Foster a positive work culture that promotes teamwork and employee retention.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<b>Financial Management</b></p><ul><li>Develop and manage budgets for revenue, expenses, and capital improvements.  </li><li>Implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<b>Staff Leadership</b>  </p><ul><li>Recruit, train, and supervise staff, including department heads and line employees.</li></ul><p><b>Sales &amp; Marketing</b>  </p><ul><li>Collaborate with marketing teams to promote the hotel and increase bookings.  </li><li>Build relationships with travel agencies, corporate clients, and event planners.  </li><li>Monitor market trends and adjust pricing strategies to stay competitive.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<b>Compliance &amp; Risk Management</b>  </p><ul><li>Ensure compliance with health, safety, labor, and licensing regulations.  </li><li>Manage risk by implementing security protocols and emergency procedures.</li><li>Handle legal and insurance matters as needed.</li></ul><p><b>&nbsp;Strategic Planning</b>  </p><ul><li>Set long-term goals for growth, brand positioning, and service innovation.  </li><li>Evaluate business performance and adjust strategies accordingly.  </li><li>Oversee renovations or expansions to enhance guest experience and revenue potential.</li></ul><p><b><u>Supervisory Responsibilities</u></b>   </p><p>Directly and indirectly oversee all hotel personnel, including department managers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies, training programs, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.  </p><p><b><u>Qualifications</u></b>   </p><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
